Greetings from
Camp Norse:
It is spring
time, almost April vacation, and the next vacation to look
forward to is summer vacation. So, what are YOU doing this
summer??? Last year, you decided to send your son, and perhaps
yourself, to spend some part of the summer down at summer camp
at Camp Norse and we hope you had a good time. In fact, there
were over 700 Scouts who came through for a Cub/Parent
Overnighter, Family Camp, One Day Camp, Week long Day Camp,
Resident Camp, or a combination of several!
This year’s
summer camp theme is, “Camp Before Time…think prehistoric!”
Many of our staff members will be back and we welcome you all
back as well. After listening to what you had to say, and
reading what your comments were from the evaluation sheets you
filled out, we decided to take action and work on a few program
areas. Currently, we are under construction in our trading post
and creating a more open, customer friendly place. There will
be more shelving so that we can carry more merchandise;
including fresh popcorn and slush! The other program area we
are working on is a BMX track for the bikes that we have so your
son can race his friend with dips, curves, and bumps to make it
fun and exciting.
Attached are
the registration forms and our camp brochure with a new look.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at any
time by phone or by email. All forms are on our website as
well:
www.annawonbsa.org including medical, consent, and
registration forms as well as our BRAND NEW camp promo video and
slideshow. Just click on summer camp. The summer camp
staff had a lot of fun being with your son(s) and look forward
to seeing them all again this summer!
Yours in
Scouting,
